Chinese New Year's Concert and Reception at the Chinese Embassy

The Chinese New Year Concert, organized by the Chinese Embassy in Slovakia, was held in Large Concert Studio S1 at Slovak Radio on Feb 4, 2024. The Concert was brilliantly performed by the Chinese Chamber Orchestra of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. The Orchestra performed classic folk music from different parts of China, such as "Tea Harvest Dance", "Rising Higher Step by Step", and "Blooming Flowers and Full Moon". The biggest moment of the highlights came when they started to play the National Anthem of Slovakia. Our Slovak director, doc. Mgr. Ing. Miroslava Knapková, and the Chinese staff of CIB at UMB were invited to the event.

CIB at UMB was also invited to the reception at the Ambassador's residence on the following day. The Chinese Ambassador, H.E. CAI Ge greeted the Chinese studying, working and living in Slovakia with a Happy New Year of the Dragon and shared his opinion of the friendship between China and Slovakia over the past 75 years and the contribution of the Chinese overseas.

The Chinese New Year of the Dragon will officially come on 10 Feb. 2024. We would also like to wish all of you a prosperous and successful year ahead.
