Congratulations to Mr. Matus Riecan for winning the 1st prize in the 22nd Chinese Bridge Competition in Slovakia

2023-06-05

Matus Riecan from CIB at UMB (the Confucius Institute for Business at Matej Bel University) has received the first prize at the 22nd Chinese Bridge Competition for Foreign College Students in Slovakia (Overseas Preliminary Rounds). We extend our warmest congratulations to him!

Matus, with his wonderful speech and talent show of his calligraphy, expressed his understanding and appreciation of the competition's theme, "One World, One Family". He responded adeptly to the judges' questions, demonstrating excellent Chinese language proficiency and personal charm.

We would like to express our huge thanks to our dedicated team of tutors, three volunteer teachers, whose selfless dedication, cooperation, and patient guidance has helped Matus in his preparation. Luckily, Matus has lived up to the expectations of the three teachers with his outstanding performance.

At the same time, we would like to congratulate all the other participants for their excellent performance in the competition! We also appreciate the hard work and great efforts of the organizing committee of the 22nd Chinese Bridge Competition in Slovakia.
