Chinese Proficiency Tests

Chinese Proficiency Tests are designed and developed by Confucius Institute Headquarters (CIH) to help evaluate the Chinese proficiency of non-native Chinese speakers across the world. There are four major genres of tests, namely, HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, Chinese Proficiency Test), HSKK (Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi, HSK Speaking Test), YCT (Youth-learner Chinese Test) and BCT (Business Chinese test).

Test scores can be used for evaluation of learners’ Mandarin Chinese levels, application for Chinese universities, application for Chinese scholarships, recruitment of Chinese or multinational companies, and so on.
