Huge Congratulations! This is a great honor for Miss Kudlová, CIB at MBU (Confucius Institute for Business at Matej Bel University) , and UMB (Univerzita Mateja Bela). Miss Kudlová is awarded for her short video “How Young Slovaks See China”, which was shot at Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. The award builds a new cultural bridge between Slovakia, China and the world. The beautiful scenary in her video serves as great attraction to people in China and the other parts of the world while her interviews illustrate Slovak youngsters' knowledge about China.

The event was jointly held by the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations at Geneva, and China Media Group (CMG). The international jury panel of the event selected altogether 6 Youth Cultural Ambassadors out of the authors of about 950 video entries from 45 countries and regions.

The 6 young cultural ambassadors will participate in a scholarship provided by Tsinghua University (Rank 17 in QS 2022).

UN initiated and established language days for the UN six official languages in 2010 “to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six official languages through the Organization”. The Chinese Language Day is set on the day of “Gu Yu” (Grain Rain, one of China’s 24 solar terms). This year, it falls on April 20.
